Boarding Requirements For the Dog Kennels at San Antonio Dog Training Co.

The quality of dog kennels in San Antonio runs across the board. At San Antonio Dog Training Co. we have several requirements that help us maintain a healthy, comfortable environment for our canine guests.

Before boarding a dog the owner must provide San Antonio Dog Training Co. with current vaccination records from a licensed veterinarian. Dogs that are overdue on the required vaccinations WILL NOT meet the requirements for boarding.

  • All dogs are required to have the following vaccinations:

    • Rabies

    • Distemper

    • Parvo virus (DHPP)

    • Bordetella

  • Regarding the Bordetella vaccination:

    • The intranasal version of the Bordetella vaccination should be given at least 7 days prior to boarding.

    • The injectable version of the Bordetella vaccination should be given at least 14 days prior to boarding.

  • The following vaccinations are highly recommended but not required:

    • Leptospirosis

    • Parainfluenza

    • Corona

For dog daycare San Antonio Dog Training Co. trainers request that the same requirements be met. These vaccinations help keep all pets safe from preventable illnesses.

Owners are also responsible for their dog’s flea control. If dogs are found to have fleas or flea dirt, they will be treated at the owner’s expense in order to protect the health of all pets at San Antonio Dog Training Co.

Dogs being boarded should be in good general health. Because of the risks involved, we’re not able to board dogs that:

  • Require any form of post-operative care.

  • Have open wounds/stitches.

  • Have restrictions on physical activity.

  • Have certain medical/physical conditions.

  • Require the care of a veterinarian.

  • Are known to be pregnant.

Please contact the office if you have questions regarding your dog’s health condition or need clarification regarding this policy.
